Heathrow CIP Lounge – Containment and Screening – Morgan Sindall

Heathrow CIP Lounge Scaffold EncapsulationThis project was to provide replacement and additional CIP lounge capacity in Terminal 3, enabling the airport to provide enhanced CIP space within Terminal 3 to meet airline needs whilst maximising commercial revenue.

Morgan Sindall contracted Tufcoat Installations to provide containment and screening during works to the facades of the newly refurbished CIP lounge allowing for the demolition of the CIP building located on the existing P7 connector.

The solution needed to allow the new apertures of the CIP lounge to remain unobscured by the on-going works to the exterior of the building whilst maintaining an appearance acceptable to the airports community.

Tufcoat used a 300µm, Flame retardant shrink wrap to encapsulate the scaffold structure paying particular attention to the returns which would be visible from the lounge. This ensured a clean, taut finish which was an important consideration from the outset.
